How much is this Nobel Peace Prize? Keep the "change".

There are some things that happen just as expected, and others that occur and cause us to just stand back and ask ourselves, "are they F*ing serious". Well this was the case for me today when I heard that the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize is to be awarded to President Obama. I was pretty shocked at first, I thought to myself, " Why would anyone want to give the Nobel Peace Prize to someone who has not only increased our countries already rather large deficit, pushed unemployment rates to all time highs of nearly ten percent, dropped the ball at the last minute to back out of the ballistic missile defense plan and agreement with eastern European countries to "please" some other foreign nations, AND has DEEP ties to ACORN, the recently found and possibly most corrupt liberal government organization in history". This can't be! Then I did a little research on the "prestigious" award, and what did I find? I found out that this award has been given to a handful of both of the Bush administrations adversaries almost immediately after they left office, or to people who have strongly opposed the so called "Bush Washington". So after reading this, the Nobel Peace prize doesn't really amount to anything. President Obama isn't the recipient because he did anything notable, so he himself should feel that the award is useless. Most recipients are notably "left wing" and have, from the looks of it, received the award not for any person achievement, but as a kind of "thanks for opposing the conservative government" or "we're glad Bush is out of office" award. The committee claims that President Obama is to receive the award for his contributions and efforts in support of international diplomacy and his goal of ridding the world of nuclear weapons. If you have read my other post in this blog then you are well aware that the reasons mentioned are complete garbage, and as far as I'm concerned so is the Nobel Peace Prize and the committee who selects its recipient.

So, How much is that Nobel Peace Prize? Its obviously not worth much, so keep the "Change".
